Buyer Beware!, Noted this new 7 quart unit has the same 'E4 code of death' as Wolfgang's earlier Bistro models. Google "Wolfgang Puck 7 qt pressure cooker e4 code" to see dissatisfied confused users who have suffered this sad fate. When you see this on the digital control you can throw the unit out according to customer service rep! 'Electrical problem, cannot be fixed, and they don't even know what it means'! The previous Wolfgang Puck 5 Qt. Bistro unit had the same code, and there was NO MENTION IN THE MANUAL of this or any code. In fact, there are often no trouble shooting notes AT ALL with Wolfgang Puck Pressure Cookers! I note the Cuisinart CPC-600 1000-Watt 6-Quart Electric Pressure Cooker, Brushed Stainless and Matte Black costs less and a Google search does not show problems with electronic failures/error codes. I may try that one next, or one that runs on a cook-top.
Thrilled with this product!, (What's this?) I love Wolfgang Puck's products and I certainly love this Pressure Cooker. I love the features on this cooker, the way it goes to "keep warm" when the cooking time is over. Easy to clean. The glass lid to put on the pot after cooking.

CHEATING, HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! MISSING PRESSURE VALVE. I received a Wolfgang Puck Pressure Cooker as a gift. Went to the grocery store and put everything in the pot for red beans and rice and started the cooker ONLY to discover the pressure valve was missing and everything was for naught. Internet search showed the Pressure Cookers are often shipped without this part and it is difficult to order. This is cheating. The meal sits uncooked.

My mother cooked some spare ribs in her pressure cooker and it took 15mins...so tender...so I had to have a pressure cooker like hers..I found it on amazon and ordered it..It is the best pan and maybe the only one you will ever want to cook with...Pot roast, potato's, carrots,onoins, 23mins....done and wonderful taste...
Good buy, (What's this?) Heavy duty and quality built. We've only used this a couple of times (first time pressure cooker users!) but ran into no issues whatsoever. The instructions are very good and with the quality of this cooker we really had no worries what-so-ever about it.
Good product and works as should, (What's this?) I use pressure cooker on daily basis and this cooker meets all my requirements.
Solid lookng cooker, (What's this?) Service was fast and no problems. Did not cook with it yet but it is heavy enough to do a good job.
Works except the safety guard requires "fiddling", (What's this?) Generally, this unit works. I'm no expert pressure cook, but in the few times I've used this I've enjoyed the results. The cooker is simple to use.

However, I have one problem. When the lid is locked, there's a pin that slides in the handle, pulling back a guard that lets a plunger pop up when under pressure. This plunger creates the seal needed to increase the pressure. This is a safety mechanism to make sure the lid is in the proper position.

However, the plunger never just pops into the opening and seals the pot because the guard never quite moves back all the way. Instead, I need to get a wire-like device to insert into the hole, and push the guard back so the plunger can pop up. It's not a big deal, but I shouldn't have to do this.
So easy to use!, This is my first pressure cooker. I was always a little afraid of them. It works great. Now I have to find more ideas for cooking in it since it is so easy! The instructions make it easy.
My new friend in the kitchen, Bought two of these beauties, and couldn't be more pleased. I'm thinking about throwing away most of my other pots and pans. They seem to be well made, and are loaded with safety features: locking handle when under pressure, pressure relief valves, and a little window that the gasket covers which acts as a fail safe if the pressure gets too high. I think these are the greatest things since remote control for the TV! The kids say the pressure cookers make the best food they have ever had! I tell them it is really the cook.

Happy to find the right part, (What's this?) I have the Tefal pressure cooker for few years. I use it almost every day to shorten my cooking time. Basic Essentials 3-Quart Polished Pressure Cooker

Terrible, I bought this model pressure cooker at a black friday event. Worst decision ever. I actually bought another later. Worst second decision ever. Both worked for a few cooks, but neither hold pressure now. Steam just pours out of the "safety valve" (granted, this is better than if the pressure cooker exploded). It doesn't pressure cook.

Don't be afraid...this is great and SAFE!, I was always intrigued with the idea of a pressure cooker and how fast it cooks. I have memories of my grandmother making apple sauce and canning tomatoes. Unfortunately I also remember horror stories of pressure cookers exploding and spewing their contents all over the kitchen. I was terrified to own one.

All that has changed with the Fagor Elite pressure cooker. This pressure cooker is sleek and easy to use. It is full of safety features and comes with a very clear instruction manual and recipe book. It has a solid aluminum core, and thick base for quick even heating and a stainless steel exterior for looks and easy cleaning. I highly recommend it for anyone that would like to cut their cooking time and maintain all the flavor and nutrition.

Love it, my first pressure cooker but 3 meals have been flawless, Although this is my first pressure cooker, the 1st three meals have turned out wonderfully. I'm not a person who does a lot of cooking or who feels like I know what I'm doing cooking. I was hoping the pressure cooker would help me be able to make meat tender, since in the past I've turned out some really tuff meat that I couldn't eat. Well, I'm happy to say that I simply followed the directions and my meat is fork tender. I've tried pork loin, skinless chicken breast and a very lean cut of beef (flat iron steak). All were wonderful. I used the pork loin recipe in the book that came with this unit, but I cooked it longer than the book said as I was looking at another recipe and wanted to be sure the meat was done. The unit cleans up nicely, and it is easy to understand to use even if you are a Mrs.
Back to the future of speed cooking, With a Christmas gift card from Cathy's uncle Bob in hand, I headed straight for the cookware department at Macy's. My inner food geek wanted something for the kitchen. We didn't know what it would be, only that we would know it when we found it.

And there they were, in all their gleaming stainless steel splendor. Twenty out-of-pocket bucks later, I'm strolling the streets of Victoria Gardens in Rancho Cucamonga with my new Fagor Elite 6-quart pressure cooker.
cheaply made, (What's this?) I cannot recommend this item. It arrived poorly packaged and the black plastic parts were broken. I returned it for a refund. Poor packaging was definately the cause of the breakage, but even so, the product itself seemed cheap. I purchased a different product from an outlet store.

Fissler 021 674 10 000 Blue Point 10-1/2-Quart Pressure Cooker

Fissler Pressure Cooker, We love this pressure cooker. Great size for soups, stews, steaming vegtables, etc..
It cooks exteemly fast, still leaving the vegtables coloful and fresh.
Beautiful, (What's this?) This pressure cooker is gorgeous, looks like it'll last at least a couple of lifetimes, and is completely silent unlike the jiggle-top cooker it replaces. Amazon isn't giving these things away, but it's worth the money on esthetic and practical grounds.



Update two years on: As solid as these look, the plastic parts get brittle with repeated use, and will require replacement. Fissler commits to making parts available for ten years after the purchase date, so the expected lifetime of the cooker is probably not much more than that. I still like this, but I can't consider it a good value for money.

When you do need to buy replacement parts, I advise you to buy from fisslerstore in North Carolina - they are businesslike. The warranty agent in Los Angeles is unreliable.
Great Pressure Cooker, I purchased a Fissler pressure cooker about twenty years ago. I use it daily. It is the only piece of kitchen cookware that has stood up to the many years of use. I will probably get another twenty years of service from it. I would recommend it to anyone who is not afraid that their cookware will outlive them. If it is used heavily the rubber gasket will need replacing ever two years or so. By the way the retail price has doubled in twenty years.
The German's Gift to the Busy Mom, (What's this?) I have used this pot almost everyday since I bought it. I attended 2 classes on pressure cooking before I made the investment, so when it arrived I was ready to cook. This is essential in the South in the summer, you can have an entire oven dinner in less than half the time and your kitchen doesn't have to heat up.
