Fagor "Elite" Pressure Cooker, 6 Qt.


Don't be afraid...this is great and SAFE!, I was always intrigued with the idea of a pressure cooker and how fast it cooks. I have memories of my grandmother making apple sauce and canning tomatoes. Unfortunately I also remember horror stories of pressure cookers exploding and spewing their contents all over the kitchen. I was terrified to own one.

All that has changed with the Fagor Elite pressure cooker. This pressure cooker is sleek and easy to use. It is full of safety features and comes with a very clear instruction manual and recipe book. It has a solid aluminum core, and thick base for quick even heating and a stainless steel exterior for looks and easy cleaning. I highly recommend it for anyone that would like to cut their cooking time and maintain all the flavor and nutrition.

Be sure to order an extra silicon seal Fagor 9-inch Silicon Gasket in case you damage the one that comes with the pressure cooker.
Love it, my first pressure cooker but 3 meals have been flawless, Although this is my first pressure cooker, the 1st three meals have turned out wonderfully. I'm not a person who does a lot of cooking or who feels like I know what I'm doing cooking. I was hoping the pressure cooker would help me be able to make meat tender, since in the past I've turned out some really tuff meat that I couldn't eat. Well, I'm happy to say that I simply followed the directions and my meat is fork tender. I've tried pork loin, skinless chicken breast and a very lean cut of beef (flat iron steak). All were wonderful. I used the pork loin recipe in the book that came with this unit, but I cooked it longer than the book said as I was looking at another recipe and wanted to be sure the meat was done. The unit cleans up nicely, and it is easy to understand to use even if you are a Mrs.
Back to the future of speed cooking, With a Christmas gift card from Cathy's uncle Bob in hand, I headed straight for the cookware department at Macy's. My inner food geek wanted something for the kitchen. We didn't know what it would be, only that we would know it when we found it.

And there they were, in all their gleaming stainless steel splendor. Twenty out-of-pocket bucks later, I'm strolling the streets of Victoria Gardens in Rancho Cucamonga with my new Fagor Elite 6-quart pressure cooker.
cheaply made, (What's this?) I cannot recommend this item. It arrived poorly packaged and the black plastic parts were broken. I returned it for a refund. Poor packaging was definately the cause of the breakage, but even so, the product itself seemed cheap. I purchased a different product from an outlet store.
